Settling in

Forman Family

Charles, 35/ Rose, 27/ Maine, 7/ Mike, 2
March 2021 (spring)

Charles had just been transferred over to the Spring Valley Soars. He packed his family up from Newberry and moved them to a new house. His daughter wasn't coping well with the move but his son was thriving.
His wife got a job at a small dance studio in town and was loving it so far, this was the first time she would be working since having her babies. Charles knew her though and knew she wanted to have 10 kids. She would soon be pregnant and jobless once again if she got her way.

Charles was getting worried about his daughter though. She was plagued with nightmares recently. The doctor said it was just because of her OCD and once she got use to her new surroundings she would be fine again.

His son was as happy and chipper as ever before. He was always an easy going boy, unless he was hungry. It was 4 in the morning and he had climbed down from his crib to wake his mom and dad up. He would be two shortly and he was growing by leaps and bounds.

Rose was making friends by leaps and bounds. She needed to in order to help the studio grow. It seemed wherever she went she made it better. Charles loved his wife for her drive.

Maine has recently threw herself into music. It was really helping her cope with her feelings and she was getting really good. It, at least, didn't make her parents ears bleed anymore.

A small fire was started downstairs because like Charles predicted, his wife wanted another baby.

Charles was never one to turn his wife down so upstairs they went to try.

Charles heard Mike start screaming and it was a different scream then he was use to. Charles and Rose rush downstairs to see that the microwave oven was on fire and quickly spreading to the stove... They had a gas stove and if it got to the stove the whole house would be up in flames in no time.

Rose keeps a level head and rushes her kids out of harms way. Of course she goes upstairs which wasn't the best plan in hindsight but the fire was able to be put out in time.

Lucky Rose was able to get some new counters put in before her and her sons birthday. She was now 27 and her son was 2. She had to get crackin' on those babies if she wanted to have 8 more.

A family friend and coworker of Rose came over to help celebrate the birthdays. She wanted kids too but just couldn't find mr. right.

Bright and early the next morning, on Charles first day of work, Mike wakes him up for their little tradition. Charles would work out early in the morning while Mike played with his blocks and crayons. It worked perfectly because his wife was NOT a morning person.

Rose leaves out later that day to gather some fresh ingredients for a special dinner for her husband. She was pretty certain she was pregnant. Her period was a few days late and aunt flo normally came like clock work.
Nancy: Your new, are you finding everything okay?
Rose: Oh hi, yes. My family and I just moved here at the beginning of the month and I just heard about your store. You grow everything yourself?
Nancy: Yeah, it's a full time job but I love it. It bring me peace.
Rose notices that Nancy is pregnant and starts asking her about the due date. Nancy tells her she is due in June and she is in her last trimester.  The conversation goes on for a while before Rose has to dash off to make dinner and pick up her son but she is confident she has made a new friend in town.

Rose got home late and walked in on the nanny yelling at her husband for making her stay over.
Nanny: People have lives Mr. Foremen and I will not be taken advantage of. If your wife was going to be this late she should have called!
Chales: Now hold on. I am still your employer and you have no right to talk to me this way. You are always paid on time and always a little extra. If our arrangement is a problem for you don't come back.

Maine comes into her moms room a few hours later to discuss the nanny being fired.
Maine: Mommy, did the nanny get fired because of me.
Rose shocked: Of course not baby ducklin'.  She got fired for being rude to daddy. When you work for someone you must keep your tone in check at all times and the way she talked to your father was out of line.
Rose gets down on her daughters level.
Rose: Nobody would quit because of you. You're an angel sent from the heavens above my ducklin'
Maine smiles at her mom and hugs her tight. Her mom always knew what to say to make her  feel better.

Instead of getting a new nanny they instead of a live in caretaker for the kids. Her name was Emelia Barron. She was a fresh college grad with no family or home. She was perfect.

On the last day of March, the worst thing ever happened. Rose had a doctors appointment to confirm what she already knew, she was pregnant. On her way out the doctors office she got bite by something. She didn't think anything of it because she had a lunch date with her new friend, Nancy, and didn't want to be late. On her way home to shower and change she fell really ill. She died right outside her house.

Charles rushed home when he got the call from Emelia. His wife was dead, oh god what was he going to do. He walks in the door to see his little girl crying and shaking. He grabs her and hugs her tighter then he ever has before. What was he going to do.

A/N: My damn heart. I was playing this house and it was like all of a sudden boom I couldn't find Rose. I thought she had glitched or something so I'm searching everywhere trying every trick in the book and when I logged into my computer again I saw her tombstone. I was heartbroken yall. I had plans!!! But as life goes you can't control everything, even when you playing god.

You cant always get what you want

Round 2: October 2020

Molly is 21, Richard is 0

It was no secret that Molly was implosive. She started a home business of selling cats and dogs without knowing what she was doing and because of that she was almost dead broke and struggling.

Dead broke or not maybe she worded her flyers wrong because a woman dropped off a newborn baby.

Molly races to the store to get the baby some things. She was only 21 and didn't know anything about raising a human.

???: Excuse me ma'am, is this cat for sale?
Molly: NO.
Okay maybe she had some work to do with getting too attached to animals, it was one of the reasons her business was failing.

AN: I didn't know sims could breastfeed! Especially since this isn't her real baby.

The dogs finally give birth to some pups but by this point Molly was over this business.

Round 2: October 2020

Beetree Family; Monica Beetree is 27

Monicas business was doing well. She constantly sold out of her fruits and vegetables.

It was hard to maintain the store and the garden at once and since her and Eric had started messing around her only and best employee, Tess, couldn't work for her anymore.

Though it was well known that she was Eric mistress, Nancy was such a classy lady and even stopped by her apartment to introduce herself.
Nancy: I know this must be awkward but I have no ill will towards you and it was my husband that stepped out on me not you.
Monica: Does this mean you will let Tess come back to work for me?
Nancy laughing: Oh god no. She needs to focus on her schooling.

Upstanding citizen

October 2020 - Walker Family; Eric is 40, Nancy is 39, Tess is 15

Tess and Nancy had a weird relationship. Tess had always been closer to her father and his free spirit oppose to her mother who was way to up tight.

Nancy: Marriage is the most important part of life and I expect you to take it serious.
Tess just rolls her eyes at her mother. If Nancy got her way she would marry her off to one of her friends.

Tess was very popular, she often had friends coming over at all hours of the night much to her mother horror.

Nancy didn't have the strength to fight her daughter on the matter however because she was sure she was pregnant and the pregnancy was kicking her ass.

Crippling debt

September 2020 - Walker Family; Eric is 40, Nancy is 39, Tess is 15

The Walkers had been saving for quite a while. They had a good chunk saved up but they soon found out it was nowhere near the amount they needed for the Mall.
Nancy: I'm sorry you said 200,000?
Raye: Yes ma'am. Due to you alls income you will have to each take out 100.000. I am so sorry for the inconvenience.
Eric: Can we have a moment to discuss this?
Raye: Of course.
The couple talks it over and decides they should easily be able to pay off the loans before Tess has to go to college. They come back and tell the woman they will do it.
They head out to eat, their relationship had been strained for a while but they needed to keep up appearances. Nancy cared too much what other people thought of them. The dinner is nice though they know it will be their last for a while. 200.000 thousand in debt is nothing to scoff at.

Eric was less worried about the opinions of others though and often made it a point to embarrass his wife whenever possible.

Tess knew her parents had just taken out a huge loan and wanted to help them. The community garden had just been re bought and Tess went over to see if she could maybe get a job. The lady was really sweet and hired her on the spot. She was really busy and couldn't man the register, sell to customer, tend to the plants, and restock at the same time.

Being hired on the spot had its perks but also its' downfalls. Monica put her right to work and basically threw Tess to the wolves.
Her first job was manning the register, she did okay for her first day but a lot of customers got angry.
Tess: That will be 15 dollars
???: For some fruit? No way!
Tess flustered: Oh I'm sorry ma'am, I rang it up wrong. Today is my first day.

Eric used the time his daughter worked to try to rekindle his relationship with his wife but most times it failed. The few times he was able to get his wife in the mood she always wanted to rush it, she saw sex as a dirty act and that frustrated Eric to no end.

The next morning Nancy gets the mail and almost throws up her breakfast. There first loan has come in and in total they owe 6000 dollars. Tess can't believe her eyes. They hadn't even started the Mall yet, which meant zero profit.

Proud Business Owner

August 2020 - Monica Beetree; 27

Monica woke up early in the morning, she had to get to the bank to buy her new community lot. It was a wonderful plot of land that had natural fruits and veggies growing on it. She was surprise no one had bought it yet.

Monica gets to the bank just as they are opening and get in an office in under 10 minutes.
Goopy: So Miss Beetree, what can I do for you?
Monica: I would like to buy the community gardens.
Goopy: It comes with some attachments. Like you can't get rid of the plants ever and if you want to sell it you have to sell it back to the bank, you cannot sell it to another person. Do you understand and agree with that?
Monica nods her head and signs the paperwork. It cost her 15,000 dollars but at least now she had a way to make some money.

Monica heads out of the bank with her head held high, she was now a proud business owner!

Right over to the business she discovers it has a ticket booth. Whoever owned this place before her obviously didn't make much money and with a ticket booth they were not going to make much. She gets on her phone to order a counter and register. She planned to sell the fruits and veggies she grew.

After a long and exhausting day at her new business, Monica is happy to be home.  She met a lot of new people but there was one she couldn't get her mind off of. He was very handsome and she hoped he came back to the shop.

The next morning Monica could feel the fall breeze start to roll in. She headed to the mall to buy a nice sweater with the bit of money she received yesterday at her shop.

Showered and fresh Monica headed to the garden. She got a call that the counter and register had been delivered and she couldn't wait to turn off that ticket machine.

Business was even better today with the fresh lemons on display. She still had much to learn in the art of service and sells but she was a fast learner.
